Pretty Frills at Hever Castle

We are delighted to have been asked again by Hever Castle to exhibit another of our creations for their Wedding Showcase this coming Saturday.

We have worked with Hever Castle for a number of years now and it is a truly beautiful venue.  We have delivered many beautiful cakes to both the Astor Wing and the Italian Gardens – both within the Castle grounds.

I have to say, the Guthrie Pavillion in the Italian Garden is my favourite part of the castle – purely selfish as the stunning tapestry provides the perfect backdrop for our wedding cakes!

Below are images of just some of the cakes we have delivered to Hever over the years…

Spots & Stripes at Cooling Castle Barn, Kent

This is the wedding cake delivered for Katherine and Kevin for their celebrations at Cooling Castle Barn 2 weeks ago.

This cake was actually a gift.  Nadine, who works as part of our team is sister-in-law to Kevin (and now Katherine) and offered her services as talented cake lady extraordinaire!  However, being that Hall of Cakes offered a teeny bit of help, I cheekily asked if we could use the images for the blog as I really love this design as it is so different.

Nadine made the sugar flower corsage that was applied to the cake on the day, but before it went out I just couldn’t resist trying out some brighter shades against the greys as well.  Not sure what one I like best actually….?!

Cakes in Kent, Cakes in Chelsea…

Another busy week here – mainly for wedding consultations but we also had two occasional cakes to do this week.

The first one was for a 40th birthday for Nicola in Kent and the other was for Robert’s 50th -which was delivered to Chelsea yesterday morning.

As with any business. its so nice when clients come backs to us and Susan and Robert have ordered various cakes from us over the last few years – they started with their wedding cake 3 years ago and this is now the 4th cake we have supplied them.  Robert is an avid cricketer – except Susan believes its the Scrumpy Jack that is the main attraction…
