Hall of Cakes feature in Your Kent Wedding

We are delighted to have been featured this month in Your Kent Wedding magazine   As Your Kent Weddings’ cake expert we were asked to answer a cake question from a bride who wasn’t sure how she was going to combine her cake ideas with her future husbands chocolate allergy…

We very much look forward to answering any future cake questions from confused brides!

Lace Wedding Cakes

Wedding Cakes with Lace have become so popular.  The lace is made out of sugar and looks simple exquisite against a pale base colour of icing – particularly a pearlised colour.

This is the wedding cake we delivered last Saturday to The Grand Connaught Rooms in London for the wedding of Shirin and Nash.

Six tiers of Champagne regal ice, four tiers covered with the most intricate sugar lace and finished with pearlised beading and the most gorgeous Swarovski crystal brooch.

We absolutely loved this cake as whilst it is very detailed, it also somehow looks quite plain in a very beautiful way.  We hope you agree.

Ruffles and Frills Wedding Cakes

It seems as though ruffles and frills are the trend for 2015!

We are received so many enquries for our Latte Frills design and also our Silver Frills design (main featured image) which we have now made with various adaptations.

The ruffles (or frills) are made out of individual rose petals and thus incredibly time consuming but the overall effect is one of exquisite beauty.  Very delicate, very soft and so effective in creating that wow factor wedding cake.

The main featured image is of a wedding cake we made for Jessica and George just last week for their wedding at Quendon Hall in Essex.  The silver leaf compliments the frills beautifully and also gives a very striking effect.

As you can see, frills can also work so well in many many designs – such as the 7 tier gold and white cake featured for the wedding of Claire and Leo at Hatfield House in March.
