Courtesy of Paul White Weddings these images are from Johanna & Deniz’s wedding back in February at The Old Royal Naval College Greenwich, London
As a recommended supplier for many years at the Naval College we have delivered many beautiful cakes to this fabulous venue.
However many times you walk into the famous Painted Hall, it never fails to leave you stunned by its grandeur and beauty. There really is no other venue comparable in London.
Johanna and Deniz wanted a very traditional cake – to befit their choice of venue and chose a six tier white ornate design. The only slight colour we added was the very centres of the sugar roses – which were a pale blush pink to compliment their choses colour scheme.
The cake comprised many different flavours and fed over 250 guests . Johanna sent us a lovely thank you saying they were absolutely thrilled with their cake.
We have just taken a lovely booking following on from a recommendation from Helen England Photography.
Helen England is a very experienced and highly acclaimed photographer based in Kent.
Along her journey Helen has met lots of suppliers (good and bad I am sure!), and she has recently compiled a list of those she would recommend based on her experience with working with those key people. Being the photographer of the day you get to see everything. Every single detail. It actually never occurred to me before now how well placed a photographer is to recommend other suppliers. They have seen it all!
We all like to be recommended someone – whatever tradesperson it is your are looking for. If someone you know has had a good experience this is the best endorsement to a person/companies service.
We therefore feel very honoured that Helen has included us as her go to cake supplier! We have worked with Helen on a few weddings and very much look forward to working on more.
The images here are Helen’s work.. The shot of the bride and groom here is one of my favourite wedding images of the last few years actually. Elise was (and this is her words;) was ‘a bit high maintenance’ leading up to her wedding. The stress of it all really did get to her. This is way I love this shot so much – real ‘throw head back’ laughter and the stress levels gone with the day
So pleased with this lovely 18th birthday cake we have made this week for Beth. The remit was ‘funky, not too girlie and beautiful’. She absolutely loves it so I think we got it right!
Whilst its so easy to theme cakes for the girlies (lots of pink, bows, hearts etc etc.) It does get more tricky as they get a bit older as perhaps a cake isn’t such a ‘cool’ idea. So, I think the only way to get it right is to make the design a bit more contemporary – whilst still adding a few girlie touches.
