Back in April we delivered one of our beautiful cakes to The Ritz hotel in London.  We have worked for the The Ritz for many years now and delivered many many cakes, but this one was a real treat.  Why?  When we entered the Marie Antoinette Suite the smell that hit us from the most amazing installation of flowers was just incredible!

Of course, we have worked on many weddings and events that have been jam packed with flowers, but the colours and the smells  – and so many flowers in a relatively intimate space really was incredible.  Full praise indeed to the very talented Paul Thomas Flowers

So, enough about the flowers… The wedding cake comprised of a full deep tier of blush pink sugar roses (123 to be precise!) tiers of lemon sponge – filled with zesty lemon buttercream, and  rich chocolate cake filled with cocoa buttercream.  Whilst the base of the cake and the topper were obviously very detailed, the bride wanted to keep the rest of the cake very plain and just incorporate the couples initials that had been designed for them for their wedding stationery.

I am sure you will agree the whole set up looked very beautiful.

People always ask me if working at The Ritz really is as special as it sounds.  Answer: Yes.  Why?  Well, when you work in events, you do not only see the finished ensemble of beautiful flowers and cakes and tables settings.. But, you see all that goes on at the back end.  How easy is it to deliver and are the staff helpful?  I can honestly say that the Events Team at The Ritz make the whole process very easy indeed.  The absolute highest standard in event planning and co-ordination
