We are delighted that our ‘Duchess’ design is featured in the August/September issue of Cosmopolitan Bride. The Duchess is one of our most recent designs as has become incredibly popular (I think the amazing wedding gown worn by Kate Middleton may have had something to do with it!). We have recently been commissioned for a 6 tier version of this design for a wedding at Claridges in London next year.
We are also very excited to be working with the BBC on a wedding cake feature….. filming is taking place here in two weeks time, plus they are filming the set up of one of our beautiful Victoran weddings cakes. Check back soon for more details
We have obviously been very busy with designing and creating some our most beautiful cakes this summer, but we are also busy taking bookings for new weddings and one I am very exciting about is the wedding of Sonia and Sanj in November this year. Sonia and Sanj come over to see us from Gerrards Cross and their wedding is to be held at the luxury 5 star Sofitel at Heathrow. An Indian wedding and 750 guests… needless to say its going to be a big cake!
Lastly, I thought you may like to see our new Apprentice! I absolutely love this picture of my two year old son Louis. Somebody asked me a few weeks ago if I ever got round to making cakes with Louis. Of course! He loves making cakes with mum! I am not sure he would pass our health and hygeniene checks (lots of spoon licking!) but I think he could seriously be considered for an apprentership in a few years time!
