Thank you Nicola, and your team at Hall of Cakes for creating our beautiful wedding cake! The cake was absolutely stunning, and we received so many wonderful comments from our guests; from how beautiful it looked on display in the Astor Wing at Hever Castle, to how delicious the cake tasted.
The service provided by Nicola was seamless. From the moment my mum and I met Nicola at her Studio in Bexley I knew that we were in safe, and very creative, hands. We had plenty of time to look through Nicola’s extensive portfolio of wedding cakes, as well as see a wide variety of cake designs on display in the studio. We discussed preferences over a cup of tea and tried some samples of the different flavour sponge cakes. We reached a decision by the end of the appointment that an adaptation of the ‘latte frills’ design was ‘the one’, with the latte colour being replaced with a pale pink to match my bouquet. We left the appointment feeling confident that Nicola would produce a wonderful cake, and that turned out to be so very true!
In the run up to the wedding, Nicola and I spoke a couple of times on the phone to confirm flavours for the sponge tiers and spent quite a long time discussing the exact shade of pink!! A couple of days before the wedding, Nicola phoned to let me know all was going well with producing the cake and how pretty it was.
When Tom and I arrived at Hever Castle on our wedding day, the cake was on display in the Astor Wing. Words really can’t describe how absolutely beautiful the cake was. It really did look wonderful, and tasted delicious too. We had 3 different flavours; vanilla and raspberry buttercream, espresso and rum, and chocolate.
We would recommend Hall of Cakes to anyone looking for a stunning cake at their wedding, or any other event. The cakes are spectacular and the service is exceedingly friendly and professional.
