I will blog the wedding show separately when the official images are ready as I want to tell you more about the lovely people I worked with.

In the meantime, I thought you might like to see the cake first – and in case you haven’t guessed, I am just a teeny weeny bit proud of my creation!

Hall of Cakes was born on a sun lounger in Thailand exactly 5 years ago (I know the date since it was my honeymoon).

My lovely new husband was sick of me going on about ‘starting a cake business’ by about day 5.  ‘Just read your book’ I think were the initial mutterings….. My wonderful new surname (much nicer than the old one I promise you) gave me much more than a married status.  A perfect name for my new business!

Over the last 5 years I have worked tirelessly to achieve my goal and realise my artistic passion – to create beautiful wedding cakes for those brides who really want a cake that is special.  One that is not picked from a book or by a name or number, but is designed specifically for them and one that tastes and looks sublime.

We deliver all over the South East.  Mainly to venues throughout Kent, London, Essex and Surrey.

We delivery to community centres and castles.  The common factor is that every cake is for  a couple who simple want something special.

Since starting the business, there have been a few moments when I have thought ‘wow, get me! Not bad for a girl that had never made a cake 6 years ago’!

Monday was one of those moments….

8 tiers lit up in the centre of one of the finest eateries in the City of London.

Very chuffed indeed.

Check the blog soon for the official images.
