Melinda has an exceptional eye detail and when she came to see us for the design consultation she had a very clear idea of what she wanted.
Melinda loved some of previous work – particularly a cake we made for a wedding at The Dorchester a year or two ago – but wanted more bows, more height and she also wanted us to top the cake with the most delicate white sugar roses.
Melinda and Darrens theme colour was baby blue and I knew that a variation of the Dorchester design would look beautiful in blue – mainly because we have done a lot of christening cakes in white and blue
Five tiers of real cake were not actually needed and thus the bottom tier on this cake is a dummy tier.
