Ppiping is properly planned, enough time is set aside for ‘drying out’ and the maximum time is scheduled for delivery. Quality is far more important than quantity.

Therefore, in order to facilitate the bookings of the last ten days, lots of work was carried out in advance, such as the making of nearly 100 white sugar roses, the icing of boards and a very precise schedule of baking and covering.  Not to mention a few very early mornings and late nights!

Here are some images of our work over the last ten days…..

‘Katie’ was for the wedding of Katie and Graham on 17th June at Birchwood Park Golf Club in Kent.  Katie didn’t actually have a clue what type of cake she wanted when she first visited us, but when she saw some of our Victorian designs on display she was sold.  White, clean, simple and beautiful. Katie & Graham’s cake was a mixture of flavours, including chocolate, lemon and vanilla tiers.

The cupcakes were for the wedding of Bonnie & Ewan at Hever Castle on Monday 20th.  Just a small party of 30 guests, Bonnie & Ewan wanted to provide tasty treats for their guests in a classic vintage style.

On Wednesday we delivered a cake to a huge corporate event at The Painted Hall at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London.  This event was hosted by the Prudential and it was to celebrate 10 years of the Presidents Club of the Prudential.

The event was attended by 300 guests from all over the world.  My god this cake was heavy!  Two very deep tiers of lemon sponge layered with lemon zest buttercream.   The cake was designed for the client via an event company based in Hong Kong.  A simple but effective design incorporating the company logo and colours.

Lastly, on Saturday, we delivered the most stunning wedding cake (if I say so myself!) to another lovely wedding in Kent.  The wedding was hosted in a beautiful garden marquee and thankfully the weather was gorgeous!  Karen, the bride, visited our studio nearly a year ago and fell in love with our Rose Cascade design.  But, Karen insisted she wanted ‘all white’ and to incorporate crystals within the design was an absolute necessity.  We sourced some beautiful Swarovski crystal banding, which wrapped around the base of each tier.  White tiers, white roses, white background and stunning Swarovski crystals…..

What a week!!!
