Who are the best cake makers in Kent? Well, that’s Hall of Cakes of course!

We are based on the borders of Kent / south east London. Bexley village to be precise. So, we have great access to Kent’s finest venues and over the 15 years we have been established we have delivered to them all. Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place, Brandshatch Place, Eastwell Manor, to name but a few. There are so many stunning venues in Kent the list could go on and on.

What makes us the best cake makers in Kent? For starters, we know all of the venues. Literally all of them. Why does this make a difference? Well, when you have been delivering enormous wedding and party cakes for over 15 years, you get to know every driveway (or dirt track!) every cattle grid, (our worst nightmare) every winding country lane (not for the feint hearted with a huge cake on board). Why does this make a difference? Well, those less experienced and without knowledge of the venue access may happily stack your entire cake prior to delivery only to have it collapse when they go over the unforeseen cattle grid at the main entrance. Over the years we have been in business we have received many calls begging us to come and sort out the mess of a less experienced cake maker.

Leeds Castle is the best example of where experience is essential. Driving over the main bridge to the castle island (just about big enough for the width of a standard vehicle) avoiding tourists, swans and peacocks, prior to carrying a six or seven tier cake up to the main banqueting hall and setting up – whilst being watched by tourists! It can be very stressful indeed.

We also know what works at each venue. Where the cake will be placed and where the natural light comes in. Or, the best position for your cake to be placed in the room so you get the most out of your ‘cake cutting’ pics.

So, it’s not just about producing amazing cakes. We have been producing amazing cakes for years. It’s much more than that. Its down to years and years of experience and knowledge of the venue.
