We recently worked with the lovely Sheryl of Fulford Flowers who does SO many weddings at Grantley Hall. We worked with Sheryl on a wedding in London (Raffles OWO) and got chatting. Sheryl has now kindly introduced us to the events team at Grantley Hall and we have a meeting with them in a few weeks time.
A wedding Cake at Grantley Hall can be traditional or contemporary. The original buildings are obviously very old in style and have so many historic features. Whereas there are also very new parts of the hotel. So, you can literally go either way.
We have included a selection of wedding cakes here that would suit the venue perfectly. If budget is not a problem then sugar flowers and grandeur is the way to go. One of the cakes featured below was for Gemma and TJ at Claridges in London – intricately iced tiers with SO many sugar flowers, buds and blossoms. An absolute show stopper.
But, you can keep the price down a little and still have a tall, grand wedding cake. Also featured here is a wedding cake we did at The Savoy in London (silver/grey finish) Still multiple tiers but using fresh flowers instead of hand crafted sugar flowers. This will bring the cost down significantly. Essentially it is our time you are paying for. Every single petal of every single flower is rolled and cut by hand. One rose probably takes around 15-20 minutes. So, when 200 are required on one wedding cake, you can see how the cost adds up! And, thats before we’ve even put the oven on.
