Last week we delivered this exquisite cake to our client in Mayfair.  It was for an engagement party at their private residence.  A six tier cake, featuring over 200 sugar roses and blossoms, plus the most intricate piping detail.

We are commissioned for lots of luxury celebration cakes in Mayfair and this was possibly our favourite for 2023 – so far!.

The design brief was very specific. We were given the colour palette for the fresh florals, which were to be supplied by Mayfair florist Neill Strain.  We were asked to match the colours of the fresh florals and to also include a handcrafted replica of the clients crest.  The crest had been specifically designed for the engagement.  The client had previously seen our very ornate designs and wanted us to create something similar but, personalised to their specification.  Oh, and we only had 3 days.  Yes, just three days!

Luxury celebration cakes in Mayfair are often very last minute. This was certainly no exception!  We only make our sugar flowers to order and thus we do not actually keep any in stock.  We actually used to a small stock of sugar flowers, but as our ordes have become more bespoke, there is just no telling what is going to be required from week to week and thus every single flower and petal is made to order.  So, as you can imagine, this was quite a tall order – literally.!

We pride ourselves on absolute perfection. So, whether we have three days or three weeks, our cakes have to be absolutely perfect.  We have a fantastic team of sugar artists and on this commission we worked day and night to complete the order in such a short time frame.  There were over 200 sugar flowers and blossoms and, as you can see, these adorned a 6 tier cake. A cake which also included beautifully hand piped decoration and some exquisite detail in Royal icing.

As with many of our luxury celebration cakes, this cake was being delivered to a private residence.  Discretion is very much part of our job. We are very used to liaising with our clients’ staff to arrange delivery at a mutually convenient time.  So, if you are looking to order a cake and privacy is key, then please rest assured that this is not a problem for Hall of Cakes.

We are very pleased to say that our client was absolutely delighted with our work.  Three days was a very challenging turnaround and thus it was a real relief to see how thrilled madam was with her cake
